About this illustration
Our orbital environment
- ≈47,140
- tracked space objects
- 1.5 million
- estimated debris fragments, 1–10 cm
SatellitesDebris
The scene uses synthetic positions and enlarged objects to make the orbital environment visible. It is an artistic sample, not live tracking, a catalog or a one-to-one population map.

Statistics updated 14 October 2026. Small-debris estimate: MASTER-8 model, February 2026.
From concept to evidence
The floating experiment, zero-g laboratory, rocket and orbital mission are imagined staging. The arm is proposed ground-test CAD. No hardware, completed experiment or launch is claimed.
Braking is illustrative and depends on relative motion, target material, geometry and control. Arbitrary magnet rotation does not always brake. No measured performance or physical stopping time is shown.
Spacecraft reaction and thermal effects are not modeled. Detumbling does not remove an object from orbit.
